First they (MNCs) began offshoring (by offshoring here I mean merely jobs, not bodies) the lower class, long ago, right after WWII, beginning of the Cold War, lower middle class jobs roughly at the same time; then the middle class more recently; then the upper middle class lately; now it is the lower and middle upper class that is going. In the end it is only what they all like to call the 1% which will be left prospering, but even that is a bit of a misnomer. The ones who have been prospering most, relatively speaking, are the top 10 % of the top 1%.
It is important to recognize that of course these are not real old time classes in any important sense, just money.
An old friend used to run that company. Then he ran a global head hunting firm, now he runs a financial firm. I like to think it's the Peter Principle, hard at work. He perhaps does not share my views, certainly not the last one!
