who gets all hopped up about black slavery, really ought to get a load of Elliott's account of the history of servitude, more in general, in the New World in general, in the book just cited below.
It's not a pretty picture, but at least it is a whole lot more real.
Most American so called white people go around with this huge load of guilt about black slavery.
I do not.
A huge load of indentured servants, probably a bigger number, in total, than all the blacks who were shipped here to North America, most of whom for all practical purposes were slaves, were white.
