I pointed out that American politics, such as it is, at the local and state level, is illustrated there.
Maybe I exaggerate, but think of the Barnes and the Ewings as Democrats and Republicans. That fleshes it out a little more.
It is also of course a Romeo and Juliet story....and other things.
