Americans, of all people, are angry at Trump for apparently bellying up to Putin.
At this point, Americans have little choice but to belly up to the Soviets.
It was ours and the West's own fault, from the beginning. It was particularly Imperial Germany's fault, knowing that Lenin and the Bolsheviki violently opposed all imperial powers on earth.
We had choices regarding how Russia had developed, going forward from 1900.
We, especially, blew all of them, starting with welcoming, almost alone, the Russian Revolution, rather than collaborating with the West on using it as a chance, in 1918, almost the last chance, to dismember this out sized behemoth into smaller pieces.
