THE MENU REVISED KITCHEN DESIGN II

There are several more points to make here. One is that the design omits any upper cabinetry on or above the island. This gives the design a great sense of openness, and the sense of a large open space.

I do think that a steel bar or two with hooks to hang pots and pans at intervals is a nice decorative and utilitarian touch, without compromising the sense of openness.

A steel bar has also been designed along the length of the kitchen garden windows, to sit 6 or so inches in from the kitchen wall along that window frontage. Once again utility and aesthetics are combined here. hanging items can be spaced, or shifted to get at garden window items. Light comes in all around and onto hanging items.
