The other, even more awkward, and inordinately more enormous, thing,
than merely that history has no end, and thus no way to gauge when being on its 'wrong' side is,
is that history, by itself, has no morality, no conscience, no sympathy, no redemption, no truth, no dignity, no understanding, no reason, no humor, no irrationality, no cynicism, no cruelty or kindness, no soul, no remorse or regret, no happiness but no sadness, no direction, no youth, no old age, no generations, no past, no future, no off button, no hurry or patience, no sense of time space or motion.
History, by itself, has no history, no past, no future.
I might say it is what there is, at this moment, but that itself would be misunderstood and also misleading.
