I would just add that the interest groups to which he refers, with real political power, versus average American citizens, are littered also with plutocratic Democratic interests, as well as the Republican ones he is solely concerned to expose.
It is very much a shared, bi partisan, political responsibility, which had, as its finest flower, the liberal vital center to which Dionne refers, which relentlessly promoted anti American and anti West economic and political globalization, from both sides of the aisle.
