All this happened of course long before McCarthy finally made right wing political hay in 1950 with a red scare, long after the socialist horse had left the barn.
No doubt you don't believe me, so much talk of faux conspiracies, the real ones, throughout history, have usually gone by under the radar of the common man.
We have also given away an internet monopoly, leading to the cyber threats from the WWW, a utility and threats which we also could have easily controlled....
But no, both liberal and conservative American globalization enabled and even required these developments.
