Virtually any move we make now will have some of the characteristics of a blunder.
We have long passed the point of no return.
Aggression, appeasement, paralysis, all unhelpful...
Aggression is the least helpful; aggression even only between others would also not be helpful in this cul de sac. Appeasement may seem helpful. It is not. Paralysis, self evidently not helpful, but if it avoids aggression, better than the alternatives.
