TRUMP FIRES CEO COUNCIL

We haven't had an industrial policy worthy of the name, ever ever, except, perhaps, partially during WWII, anyway.

The American people have been harmed by both the Presidency, and by the business establishment (including the press), more than they have been helped by them, big picture.

Sad commentary really, structural problems from the beginning.

Our biggest businesses here, at, before, and after 1776, were either smuggling or piracy or a combination of both; Providence and Boston, bywords......

The other really big one, though, in the middle and lower colonies, was plantation farming using slavery almost exclusively by 1776.

What kind of industrial policy thinking do you expect to come out of such as this?

We clawed our way to a successful protectionist policy, early on.

Even a blind squirrel can occassionally find a nut!
