This was the really big story back in the 50s and 60s.
No one much covered it at all.
The Neocon movement was hatched by Orthodox Jews back then too, almost unnoticed.
Boomers were preoccupied liberally, or socialistically, with Vietnam, old civil war throwback civil rights issues, sudden new post McCarthy anti communism, the protest movement, free love, Aquarius, gay and lesbianism emerged, and loving liberal globalization, all distracting attention, and never even turned to look at the big issues except as couched in terms, by socialists, of a military industrial complex, which was too narrow a focus at that.
They were all being fed that good economic globalist liberal pablum being dispensed heavily and strategically by such well established Milner Group institutions as the NYT, CFR, and a number of post Marshal Plan Bretton Woods, economic fiscal and financial institutions, etc., the new economic Cobdenism.
