RE DECLINE

Many people, over the years, have tried to challenge the established liberal globalist view here and in Europe.

Government civil servants, like Prestowitz, academics like Chalmers Johnson. Van Wolferen. Politicians and business men, Ross Perot. Pat Buchanan.

They all failed, and they often had their careers ruined, they were vilified as, say, Japan bashers, Chalmers Johnson, Prestowitz, or Mexico basher, etc., or they lost an election on an economic nationalist platform, although their message was essentially correct as far as it went.

The last time Western globalist liberalism was challenged in a really serious way was during the period from 1873 to almost the turn of the 20th Century. The challenge did not last.
