Why not also claim, on the same exact principles, that for too long civilization has been dominated by white men, and that that is why iconoclasm of monuments of people like Lincoln, Jefferson, or Washington is a good and necessary corrective to this misguided White male heritage?
In fact, on these principles, why not put black culture oriented blacks fully in charge of the NYT, as a way of finally atoning for prior white male domination, even for white Jewish male wrongs on black people?
We can justify this preference over say an all woman editorial board because the wrongs done to blacks were even more heinous than those done to women throughout history by white males!

Can you imagine how many lists of this kind, using all different so called criteria, might be composed? How about Muslim or Chinese gay economists, or political pundits? The possibilities are endless.
