THE MENU ROBIN ELLIS

I discovered his current activities. Great stuff.

We have been watching Poldark for the first time...

I may have seen him on the London stage in the 70s, can't recall for sure.

The other worthwhile food reference on this site is to Randy Fertel, The Gorilla Man and the Empress of Steak.

My menu posts are just hobbyist stuff, or jokes in sometimes bad taste, though I am rather proud of the menu and after miniseries.

Terms search also: Monet's Table, Creil Montereau, Paula Wolfert

Monet actually preferred the fanciful French Creil Japo imitation to actual japanese tableware, for his everyday needs. He had to put it away when he had Japanese visitors.....

(Of course, Wolfert's The Cooking of South-West France is, unfortunately, not tailored for diabetics. Great book. She also abhors strict recipe quisine, and goes for improv too.)

These designs almost look like they could have been by van Gogh, but of course they had, I suppose, to have been done by an earlier hand? Whose hand? Maybe some French historian of transfer ware can enlighten us.
