We had had our butt turned toward Japan, while facing both China and Russia.
Japan accordingly had fattened herself on our butt, as the Chinese Premier put it.
Nixon did a 180 degree volt face, after 1971, not really a pirouette, turning our butt toward China to face Russia.
Now we are pivoting our butt to India, etc., to now, in turn, confront our erstwhile butt buddy, China.
