DEVELOPMENT OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS RENDERED LIBERALISM ITSELF OBSOLETE AT A STROKE

Almost no one seems to realize this, or if they realize it, to acknowledge it, in the liberal globalist West.

 

They prefer to claim that nuclear weapons, and their blind proliferation, made globalist liberalism all the more necessary.

 

This is patently false, or as Krugman might say, flatly wrong, and only became ever more apparent since 1945.

The liberal West has been in relentless retreat and appeasement to illiberal nuclear powers since 1948.

The fall of the Soviet Union merely temporarily masked this very sad, and still unfolding, reality.
