Pretty good huh?

I warned you, from the podium, as Thurston Howell III, about so called property rights as a political issue, back at the beginning of the mortgage backed securities melt down, in 2006 and 2007, in Boca Raton and elsewhere:
"There are property rights, and then, there are BIG PROPERTY RIGHTS."
"Who do you think they will bail out, you or me?"
"There are property rights, and then, there are BIG PROPERTY RIGHTS."
"Who do you think they will bail out, you or me?"
All the property rights lawyers, and government lawyers too for that matter, in the room, thought I was crazy.
Mitt Romney got in trouble for making an analogous speech, which was publicized, to a politically similar audience, preaching to the choir, also in Boca, in 2012 I believe. He paid a heavy price, but he said where he actually stood, whereas I was playing a role, behind a mask, so to speak.
Guess what?
Now you have Thurston Howell III as your President!
"How Does It Feel?
To Be Without A Home...?"
Cold comfort: rest assured, he is not an aristocrat.
No noblesse oblige now, baby!
Michael Lewis was pissing in the wind, pardon my French, even invoking the concept, at the Princeton speech he made, bless his heart. The times, they are a changin...
The Apprentice: "You're fired, America!"
Theme music: Like A Rolling Stone
Terms search: Thurston, Kanner, Kelo, Brigham, property rights
