THE MENU POVERINO BOHEMIAN CHICKEN LIVER PUCCINI PATE IMPROV

Any poor villain can afford this princely repast.

Get a tankard of good preferably organic chicken livers. I got a good pound one for $2.69 today. Saute an onion, in smoked bacon fat and a dab of diced bacon, if you can afford it, hurl in the livers, plus any small amount of leftover slop from whatever small animal or fowl roast you have done lately, chicken, turkey, possum, squirrel, rabbit, add seasonings to taste, say tyme, mild peppers, etc., crushed not sliced garlic to taste, capers if a poverino like you can afford them, saute until done, then briefly brown it, then mash it into a smooth paste, add oil not motor oil.

Slather over a misshapen slab of stale charred toast. Rot gut claret to wash it down.

They could even afford this in a place like Prague!
