At the end of The Anglo-American Establishment, Quigley had made it sound like the Milner Group, at least in England, at the end of WWII, was on its ass, defunct, a spent force, shown by terrible events which he blamed in good part on them, in 2 world wars separated by 20 years, by then, to have been very much on the "wrong side of history"....
What did they do? They shifted responsibility for everything onto Germany, very much like those, still very much in power after the Civil War, shifted responsibility for everything to the South only. Professor Kaiser is also in this Whig Interpretation of History camp, both regarding WWI and WWII, and regarding the Civil War.
I am sure that there are also those who blame only the Catholic Church, and not the Protestants, for the horrors of the wars of religion throughout Europe for 150 years.
You can kid yourself. It doesn't wash.
Only one step further, and you're in what I have dubbed The Schama Fallacy, where they just make it up.

Few winners, right or wrong, have bad consciences, least of all post Milner Group liberals, who first blamed the Fascists whom they had lead on to the end, then suddenly it was the communists who became to blame from 1945 to now, and whom they had also lead on, at least in this country since 1917, and recently it is the so called terrorists who are to blame, never the LIEO. They have all turned out to have been on the wrong side of LIEO history, but that history may be coming to an end, a rather abrupt end.
