There are already so many critics of Piketty's account already cited in Edsall's article that I don't have to lift a finger...
I will just say that I agree with the point of Edsall's paragraph that begins:
"There is no question that the Democrats’ loss of non-college white support has deep roots in the civil rights revolution of the 1960s...."
