"Why would anyone think that the proponent(s) of a FISA warrant, presumably both unopposed and in camera, would provide to a court, also not necessarily especially impartial, material defeating its its(their) own application?" (MY QUESTION)
Answer: Because Republicans investigating it (like Nunes), only months later, might very likely soon unearth it, and then a Republican administration would publish it, and perhaps properly prosecute the violators, including very highly placed Democrats, including even possibly former President Obama.
