It's a ' select ' group.
Selected, not for their wisdom, or sense of service to a particular territorial nation state, from which each of them nevertheless hails and to which they each owe ostensible political allegiance, but for their political financial economic 'or' commercial prominence, atop their respective firms civilizations and nation states.
I use the 'or' advisedly, as only some of them cross those lines.
They are not, generally, aristocrats, but may, often, have connections to the vestiges of aristocracies which have existed, or still exist, here and there, in various civilizations.
They, or their designees, have large trust accounts, or run and or control large companies, or are executives of NGOs, or politicians and high diplomats or ministers, certain entertainers, media pundits and authors, think tank personnel.
Many are drawn from CFR, Trilaterals, and sister organizations elsewhere.
