whether they favor one civilization over any others, they won't understand the question.
They may then mutter something like, "No, not really; isn't that discrimination? Aren't we, after all, just a big melting pot, freedom and equality for all men everywhere, regardless of race, creed, national origin, or color?"
They don't stop to look back, regarding where American melting pot immigrants overwhelmingly came from: Europe. (Even most of the slaves, though originally often Muslims from Africa, converted to some stripe of Western Christianity or other, over time.)
