It's a little late to pivot back toward the WEST, after more than 90 years of pivoting elsewhere, in wrong ways.
If it is becoming an Asian Century, as Kupchan himself remarks is possible, it certainly will have been mainly our own fault, and most certainly of those like him on the CFR.
Huntington may well have been something of a voice in the wilderness, in ' the Clash within the West ', among members of that August body and others in sister globalist organizations.
Bobbitt's remarks, in his works, seem to me to indicate that he has been on the Kupchan ' side ' of the Western clash within, against people such as Sir Michael Howard, and Huntington, both of whom he specifically refers to as to some extent positional adversaries, within IISS and CFR respectively. He seemed to have more or less casually dismissed Huntington, in one passage I recall reading, The Shield Of Achilles.
