The majority of African slaves always tayed as slaves to their African negro masters.
Of those that were exported, more went to The Middle East and North Africa than to the New World.

Of this 25 million, more died on the way to N Africa or the Middle East than died on the middle passage.
Only one in three negroes sent across the Sahara ever made it to the Mediterranean.
Only one in the ten million sent to the W Hemisphere were sent to North America, only one million, more or less, of the total 25 million exported out of Africa during the colonial period.
