"... The belief that group oppression lies at the foundation of our economy had society has deeply affected how we see economic and social problems. If one has already concluded that the oppression of women or black people is a given, then any disparity in their incomes, poverty rates, incarceration or health must be due to that oppression, which becomes the fault of white people in general or white males in particular--whether they know it or not. Police shootings of black people are automatically interpreted as racism, even though the police nationwide kill more white than black people every year, often in equally horrifying circumstances. The new idea of intersectionality encourages combining various forms of racial and gender oppression.... " DK
This is a great next paragraph, summing up, and carrying forward, transformed, the postmodern account that has gone before.
Once again, it contains elements that are hardly new in the history of American Rebellion discourse, but rather bring them into even sharper focus and relief, showing the American experiment for what it always was, a globalist revolutionary and anti Western Civilization movement.
The founding father demagogues knew that what they asserted was not true for any of them, and that they did not mean, in the Declaration, what they said literally, did not see all races or sexes or civilizations as ever having been created equals at all but on the contrary.
But that equalitarian liberationist rhetoric served their demagogic purposes at that time, regardless really and in reckless disregard of possible later ideological consequences.
It also had the virtue of melding disparate religious sects together in a rebellion each of them had their own objectives for embarking on, and downplayed their differences of dogmas, doctrines, cultures, and confessions.
Confronting the spectre of an Anglican hegemony being soon forcibly imposed seemed also somehow to hang over each of the sectarian groups' heads equally.
It also fitted nicely, very vanilla, with Northern religious colonists' inundating broadsheet secular political arguments, down into the Southern colonies, regarding taxation, representation, standing armies, subordination of colonial assemblies to Parliament, appointment of colonial governors from London, trade regulation, mercantilist trade restrictions, etc.
Seeing these various sacred and secular ideological streams running together by 1776 seems analogous to what DK describes in the paragraph above, about the coming together of various protest groups with intersectionality.
Cops can be seen, on these colonial analogies, as standing armies of white or Asian oppressors of the king, keeping the disparate slave melting pot population of different warring single issue sects under strict control.
The right to keep or bear arms, a key argument on the right radical side, is equally incendiary under these conditions, where assault weapons now often wielded by cops overmatch the traditional private citizen hand gun, or the lowly hunting rifle or shotgun.
Thus it can be shown here that not only is the radicalism we are seeing not born of merely the 1960s, or the 2020s, but that it goes back to difficulties of political philosophy, ideology, race, and culture from before the time of the American Rebellion, and that the issues as they emerged, and the problems that were created, the flawed principles espoused, founding documents, are in a real sense rather like Krugman's Zombies, undead Age of the Democratic Revolution, and European monarchic and imperial culpability political zombie ideas which cannot ever be put to rest, killed off for good and all, by either arguments or bullets, but rather which keep on shambling on down through American and now global political and cultural history.
The truly alarming thing, now, is that these ideas, of the white West having caused the backwardness and poverty of the colored Rest has become an article of faith among the majority of the world's population thanks in no small measure to Western proselytizing libeeralism.
So that now, when the enormous masses of different colored civilizations, nations, and races, each clawing at each other, but all together coming for Western whites, whom they will also blame even for their interracial conflicts of color, fallout from the original sin of white racism which they all now inherited, is likely how they will put it, it will not be enlightened discussions of reason, or the brotherhood of man, that is on the table.
Especially given the extreme poverty of half of the world's population, nine tenths of which is of color, and migrating to the West as fast as they can, even selling their kidney to get here in many cases.
Very soon now, whites will be the hated white pariah minority, hated by Muslims, Hindus, negroes, Latinos, and Asians, in their own major cities and small towns throughout the Western world.
"...(because our security problems do not arise from a competition among the great powers, but rather out of the seething underclass, domestically and in the Third World, that has been seduced by the cult of consumption at a time when the future dictated by its demographics moves this class ever farther from realizing its fantasies)..." The Shield of Achilles, p. 258.
It is not just an underclass of colors anymore, but wealthy industrialized, well armed, elites in developmental states in Asia, and wealthy fundamentalist ones in the Middle East.
It will be, is already, something entirely more bestial now getting under way.
Something you will not be able to have a raucous postmodern onesided leftist radical white boy or girl conversation about the need for reason.
No. It will look a lot more like this:
