THE MENU

This is a ketchup improv.
You can spend a lot of time and effort making ketchup from scratch. Why bother?
This is a better way.
First, you take some marinara sauce (even a good Italian style tomato sauce right out of a can or jar; Muir Glen Pizza Sauce would be particularly good.), or even a smooth leftover Bolognese. It helps if it already has some seasoning in it.  A dab of tomato paste would not hurt, but is not even necessary if the marinara is already thick enough.
For an individual portion, dole out that amount of marinara sauce in a shallow bowl.
Add a small pinch of 5 spice powder, a dash of A-1 Steak Sauce, and a dash of Lea & Perrins Original Worcestershire Sauce.
Stir it around and let sit for a while if possible, or overnight even better.
You can vary the proportions of this faux recipe to your tastes. You can add things, like say Dijon mustard, or other things. But this is good ketchup as is, corrected for your taste.
