In each case, political interpretations and agendas have driven economic experts' analyses, rather than the other way around.

David Reich's book.
When American anthropologists, sociologists, biologists, and others, give other liberal racial difference deniers their imprimatur, and research like Reich's and Wade's the raspberry, that is a Whig Multidisciplinary Crosscheck. Wade, p. 121, Reich Ch 10, 11, see also p 249.
What has tended to happen, however, over and over, is that, later, contrary hard scientific findings or revisionist historical material either pile up over time or even rather suddenly emerge. The latter has been what happened in genetics recently.
