I just can't stand his monotonic voice, and his insipid, and retarded, lisp.
Almost anyone else would be better at reading his bad poetry than he.

Why would you license pieces of shit like this?
He says his love of music inspired his love of poetry.
He couldn't music his way out of a paper bag.
I see no reference, on Wikipedia, to his either having ever studied music seriously at all, or to his having ever played any musical instrument whatsoever.
The fact that he has bootstrapped opera libretto or translation jobs means nothing. They are probably horrific:
In addition to his poetry and prose, Pinsky wrote the libretto for Tod Machover’s opera Death and the Powers: A Robot Pageant, which premiered in Monaco in 2010. In 2013, the Shakespeare Theatre Company performed his newly commissioned adaptation and translation of Friedrich Schiller’s Wallenstein.
