Saute onion, until slightly brown, throw in sliced muchrooms, saute some more, Now throw in a piece of bacon, saute some more; I threw in some sliced mushrooms, saute some more, you don't have to; then throw in crushed garlic cloves a handful, not the chicken shit Marcella sliced garlic. Throw in a couple teaspoons of flour, and simmer on low for 20 minutes, stirring, until the flour browns but not burns. Add water to make the gravy. You can add various things to this gravy or not.
Throw in the leftover chicken and simmer. Serve with whatever you like. It can be rice, biscuits, tortillas, pita, brioche, roast or mashed potatoes, or french fries, gnocci, dumplings, baguette, pasta, veggies.
