'They see the primary weaknesses of the system to be in the imperial realm, as countries in the periphery revolt against the domination of monopoly capital over their economies, a revolt that is increasingly mirrored in the resistance of peoples of color, making up a critical part of the working class, within the United States itself.'
'With the financial crisis of 2007-09 and the Great Recession of these years, followed by conditions of economic stagnation, some political economists have argued that Baran and Sweezy's analysis in Monopoly Capital is key to the theoretical and historical explanation of these events. This has led to an extension of theory to address what is called "monopoly-finance capital," the "internationalization of monopoly capital," the globalization of the reserve army of labor, and the growing monopolization of communications, most dramatically the Internet.'

The revolt of, and confrontation with, peoples of color, has been globalized, and now has less to do, in that globalized context, with resistance here, although here they still work, but many are either in prison, on assistance, or illegals.
This society is particularly vulnerable to ideological attacks from foreigners of color like the Chinese, preying on color and racial divisions which will never go away and cannot be solved politically now that most work is done by foreigners of color like the Chinese anyway, the globalization of the reserve army of colored labor.
Trust me, that Chinese reserve army of color will not be friendly, either to whites negroes or latinos here, or anywhere whatsoever, when it takes over, as it is now trying to do with the BRI, etc.
It will eventually kill all the Muslims in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia to a man.
Why: Two more antithetical cultures than the Muslim and the Chinese can hardly even be imagined.
It seems to me that Huntington had gotten this all wrong, in more than one way:
