RE WEST IS TOAST SMELL THE COFFEE GAME OVER
The Russia China Alliance, in a possible worlds nutshell, correct me someone if I am wrong.....
Russia gives China a free hand in Asia, Africa, and elsewhere, China gives Russia a free hand in Europe, the Middle East, and elsewhere.
So, what are some of the difficulties I referred to yesterday re the Trump Russia Affair?
One point to make, going forward, is that not wanting improved relations with Russia is now, and has been for a while now, a very very dangerous stance.

Regarding ironies, I return to Thomas Friedman's classic remark, 'some things are true even if Trump happens to believe them'.
Regardless of whether the US bureaucracy doesn't want closer ties with Russia:
Efforts to develop closer ties with Russia are necessary, even if Trump happens to be doing them.
