RE RUSSIA SYRIA THE WEST AND THE REST THE SO CALLED LONG WAR
We blundered in 1917 1918 by not partitioning Russia at the time of the Revolution, rather than entering the war on their side. See Lansing's rationale, Wilson's, and ours, for entering the war, in 1917.
We blundered again in not pushing them back from Eastern Europe in 1944 1945, what I have called The Patton Solution, and thus in allowing them to develop and deploy nuclear weapons in 1948 1949.
We blundered again, in booming other hostile undeveloped and harmless civilizations to offset their influence during and even after the Cold War.
Regarding Russia we are toast.
Bobbitt and others have called it The Long War.
I call it a long series of blunders, and, in a sense a long surrender of Western Civilization.
