It can't be just that they are post colonial indigenous victims, or can it?
Oh. The Indonesians had long been colonized by others, maybe enslaved is a better term, especially it seems by the Chinese, etc, 500 or so years ago, or longer, about the time Western imperialists first set foot in Indonesia.
