The Great Powers, suddenly ranging against Britain, seeing their opportunity when the colonies rebelled, were the only thing making this chicken shit rebellion successful.
These Great Powers had no interest, whatsoever, in the chicken shit colonists' liberty! In fact, ideologically, the opposite.
In many ways, then, the American Rebellion and the resulting Great Power War should properly be seen as a delayed continuation of The Seven Years War, or as the chicken shit colonists put it, The French and Indian War.
The colonial rebellion itself was fallout from the Seven Years War.
