Now, of course, someone, or many, have already thought of some of this.
But, I didn't read their stuff.
So, let's go.
We are going to improve on certain traditional receipts. The improvement goes in two directions.
Most people have heard of Wiener schnitzel, veal or chicken scaloppine, some have heard of country fried steak, or chicken fried steak, things like that.
They have also heard of barbecue, all different variations.
There are many dishes in each that have a family resemblance to eachother as being either grilled; or breaded or floured, and fried.
How about combining some of these different receipts, just a little bit?
No doubt it has been done many times.
One example that springs to mind is the version of Beef Wellington, where the filet is first grilled, preferably over a wood fire, before being enrobed in pate, gravy, and pastry, and then baked.
