This post is dedicated to Jesse Wegman, who wants to pile direct democracy on top of this load of crap.
My own view is that direct democracy is a way of getting to sudden binding chaotic mass decisionmaking.
The electoral college on the other hand is a dinosaur.
Direct democracy vote decides reality today only.
Why not open direct democracy plebicites up to all people everywhere?
Think of them like Jimmy Carter, who said he had sinned many times in his heart.
Why not open up voting to all those who have migrated here in their hearts! Democrats are for it, a world of potential democrats out there wanting to get here, billions of them, thinking that opportunities here will eternally be endless. The Radical Republicans got a whole lot of yankee freed negro voters, why can't the Democrats now get as many willing African voters as they might ever want?
