The Mongols most successful empire ever, for a while.
What were some of their problems?
Let's just talk about one.
When the Mongols conquered a town, which they hated towns, what did they do?
Did they capture the inhabitants and sell them or enslave them themselves?
No. The Mongols usually left only smoldering embers, and acres of greasy ground, where they had burned the corpses of the inhabitants of the towns. They didn't save or sell any of their sorry asses.
Muslims, though backward assholes, at least had the presence of mind to enslave some of those they conquered.
They didn't enslave the slaves for the slaves' wellbeing, (Just as Northern whites, following Tocqueville's and DK's remarks, weren't abolitionists against negro slavery for the sake of the negroes.) or because Muslims (different from Northern racist whites.) were worried about the effects of slaves on their pathetic bedouin desert culture. No. They did it for the money and manpower.
