This is wild stuff.
On the one hand, why can't a US president ask a foreign country, any country at all, hundreds of them actually, to investigate activities of an American national in a foreign country or countries?
On the other, why would, or should, or could, a US President want to begin to go in that kind of direction, politically, legally, and or constitutionally?
You have to get someone like Bobbitt to unravel the intricacies of something like this. Daunting.
You cannot rely on the media. Way too recherche.
