There has long been such talk, about other deals, of all kinds, diplomatic, commercial and military, between other parties, throughout modern European history, and into the 21th century.
Those deals, usually, were among peers, with a shared heritage, whose objectives normally, but not always, were not to destroy the old European System.
What China really wants is your death.
Not your markets, your weath, and your technology.
They want your death.
Go ahead and make a deal with that.
They will make a deal.
But they will violate it immediately.
