RE SPECTRUM
I never took an interest in the so called left for the left's sake, but I bought Perry Anderson's book on the whole spectrum, called Spectrum.
He is so caught up in his erudition that he cannot stay on one or two points for long enough to make a satisfying point it seems.
Perhaps I didn't give him a fair chance.
It felt a little like reading the later Schama.....
