LIBERACE NYT CLASSIC PUNDIT FALLACY

Great article by Liberace: He acknowledges in effect that the average American, not the Davos American, holds views profoundly different from those of NYT pundits.

NYT pundits generally are socially radical and economically liberal or centrist.

Average Americans, as he admits, are socially conservative and economically liberal.

Few of these poor bastards read the NYT, thankfully.

Bingo!

I will just mention this: NYT pundits, whose articles I pillory daily, seldom to never actually unknowingly commit a Pundit Fallacy, by definition:

They pander to their readership, which is not the Average American at all but rather the Yale or Rhodes Scholar or Leonhardt or Clinton or Howard Schulz or Davos American, not the Average American for whom the Pundit Fallacy is strictly defined by the NYT's Liberace and his reference.

I will use the term Pundit Fallacy in a different sense from this, goiing forward.
