Europe is as little able to stem the tide of Muslims, and, eventually, of black Africans, as Americans are at stemming the tidal wave of Mexican population movements into our heartland.
Why did the Pope show up down there? Because they are all, nominally only, Catholics. In reality, they are native Indians masquerading as Catholics, not European Catholics, really. You and the Pope can kid yourselves!
It is really symptomatic, if you will, of the continuing political crisis of will of Western Civilization.
You can call it what you want.
