This is a very important topic, on the periphery of Quigley's account up to 1949 or so, only touched on in passing at certain places.
I would, for various important reasons, like to bring it to center stage, but I am not the person to do this: not only am I an outsider, but an ignorant outsider.
Maybe DK can suggest an existing source for such a frank discussion, not that he is an insider but at least he might know of some source for this topic.
