Another issue here, turn and fire!
BENNET'SS FIRING, OR NYT NEGLIGENTLY PUBLISHING COTTON'S ARTICLE ARE NOT THE BIG STORY HERE.
THIS IS: THE NYT SUBSTANTIALLY REVISES AND OR REWRITES OP ED OPINIONS, PRESSURES AUTHORS TO ACCEPT WHAT NYT WANTS, OR IT REFUSES TO PUBLISH THEM, BABY!
This fact comes out in the NYT account of why they were disappointed with how Cotton's article had been handled by Bennet.
They apparently do this with all, all, op eds whatsoever. They revise and rewrite them the way they like them or they won't publish them.
In what real material sense, then, are any of them the real opinions of their authors, rather than the opinions of the editors of the NYT?
They admitted this in print regarding United States Senator Tom Cotton. His Op ed.
WHAT DO YOU CALL THAT?
