The Rhodes legacy, although originally imperialist, at the time of Rhodes, when frankly everyone in the West was an imperialist, was an organization that transformed itself, disastrously, along with and ultimately into American liberalism, and eventually even white Western anti imperialism consistent with the American republican leftist heritage and ideology.
