My suggestion is to read A Farewell To Alms
Read the Conclusion, if nothing else, and everyone is challenged with an avalanche of material; especially piquaint.
"BUT EACH EXTRA MIGRANT ADMITTED TO THE EMERALD CITIES OF THE ADVANCED WORLD IS ONE MORE PERSON GUARANTEED A BETTER MATERIAL LIFESTYLE."
And Yet:
"...the one thing that income has not brought is happiness."
As Bill Cunningham, late NYT photographer, had put it, money is the cheapest thing.
I don't agree with Clark, of course, in some ways, especially admitting an extra migrant from anywhere to anywhere except to say Africa, and frankly see no reason to guarantee anyone anywhere else anything at all, but well worth reading after the dreary pap of the NYT. or WSJ.
Don't waste your time on someone like Piketty........
I did. Trust me.
This is for The Primates of Park Avenue.
