JOSEPH GUARNERI HIS WORK AND HIS MASTER HORACE PETHERICK

All the examples in Petherick's book are fakes.

He, and his sponsor, The Strad, and its backers, owned many of them.

My Gisalberti, on the other hand, looks and is quite different from all of them. It is a real one!

The F holes bear no resemblance to those in Petherick's book.

Wonder what happened to all those little beauties from the hand of Del Jesu's Gesu's master?

Old Italian Andreas Gisalberti labeled violin

Speaking of little beauties, that is the name of a Southern pickle made by Roddenberry, way back when; originally W B Roddenbery, Cairo, Georgia. I met granddaddy Roddenberry. It was an honor. They weren't too far from old John Thornton's place there somewhere in Alabama. Wonder if he has any Gisalbertis?
