George Floyd's brother Philonise makes plea to lawmakers
I represented a crazy guy who took a baseball cap and did not pay.
He was crazy, and at least got a trial, and was found not guilty by a mostly white jury.
They ask how much is a life worth? 20?
Is a baseball cap worth a jury trial for a guy who was truly insane? His trial and incarceration cost society many thousands, if an economist calculated it.
Money is the cheapest thing, but
For about 1.3 billion Africans, a life is worth about $300. Actually, on the ground, a whole lot less.
Much closer to $20 there, not here.
A lot of other places, filled with non negroes, same thing.
It is not merely about negroes.
