TOCQUEVILLE FOIBLES I HAVE A DREAM
"all my hatred...is concentrated against those who, after a thousand years of equality, introduced slavery into the world again."
There has never been a single moment of world equality, or a moment without slavery.
Saying anyone in particular re introduced it is compounded sophism.
Identifying Christianity too closely with either liberty, equality, or fraternity: Paul's "in Christ is neither Jew nor Greek", proved to be disastrous. Palmer, Struggle, The Republics at Rome and Naples, 1799 or so.
